Disappointment
Wow, I was so disappointed in this movie. My kids have never loved the book Where the Wild Things Are, but occasionally they do pick it from the bookshelf.
When I initially saw that they were making a movie based on the book, I thought it could be an interesting story. We watched half of it last night and I couldn't believe how they ruined the story. I thought my boys might watch this after I previewed it, that certainly isn't going to happen now! Why can't they just leave some things alone?

Coloring Easter Eggs
I was so disappointed that the Easter Egg kit I bought this year only had 3 colors in it! Every year I buy the same one and it always has 6 colors...arrggh. The boys didn't seem to mind, we just mixed them up and they still had fun!

The Passion of Christ in LEGO
It is also becoming a tradition for the boys to watch The Passion of Christ in LEGO every Good Friday. If you haven't seen this you should check it out, it is amazing to me that this was done by two kids!
Good Friday
Today is Good Friday which for me, and all Catholics, means a day of fasting, extra penances, quiet and meditating on Christ's Passion and Death.
Every year we try to watch The Passion of Christ on Good Friday.
I have to admit, I really don't enjoy watching this movie, but it forces me to focus on the reality of the horrible Passion that our Lord endured.
In addition to these very serious things that I will try to focus on today, I am also going to be making Hot Cross Buns for the first time. This is a Good Friday tradition that my mom never made, but I really want to try them.
Have a blessed Good Friday.
