All Saints Day Party

This is the first year that we have gone to the homeschooling groups All Saints Day party.  The boys had so much fun.  Thankfully, Joseph & Henry's Halloween costumes were easily turned into saints.  Henry is going as a knight warrior, who became St. Henry and Joseph as a  knight who was St. George
Oliver's costume on the other hand just wouldn't work, he is going to be a puppy for Halloween and unfortunately there aren't any canonized dogs!  I made his 10 minutes before we left out of a pillowcase and he was St. Dominic.
St. Henry
St. George (bad picture, it's the only one I was able to take!)

I have to try this!

This looks like so much fun.  Apparently dipping leaves in beeswax makes the most perfect fall decorations.  Look at these leaves!

Cub Scouts

Joseph is in Cub Scouts this year and so far I think he likes it.  I did promise him lots of camping though and it doesn't seem like they are going to be doing much of that :-(
He takes it very seriously...saluting and everything!

I can relate

This is a post that I can relate to.  I hope someday that I will experience the "bundle of pink,"  but I'm not holding my breath.
By the way, I love tights, but little girl peacoats are what get me everytime.

Update

After looking into a lot of them,I've decided on this one
The BabyHawk Mei Tai Carrier
I get to design it myself too which makes the process more fun!  Thanks for the advice everyone!

Going to take the plunge....

Okay Mommies, I need some help....again!  I am finally going to take the plunge and get a baby sling/carrier/wrap for this baby.  I have no idea which one is the best, I have heard so many differing views.  Here are some I've looked at:
The Moby Wrap, looks interesting but also looks like a heck of a lot of material and like it would be hot in the summer.....thoughts?
The Ergo baby carrier,  I've heard great things about this, but looks like it is more for being out and about and not just at home.
The Maya wrap, looks a little too "hippy momma" for me....does anyone have one?
Basic, baby sling, by Slinglings.

So, does anyone have any advice?  I plan on using this until the baby is too heavy to carry around, mostly for a young infant to about 9 or 10 months.  I don't really see myself lugging around an 18 month old in a carrier/sling.
Thanks for any advice!!

Ouch!

I apologize for not blogging more, I really intended on getting back into the swing of things and posting more, but I have been plagued by horrible headaches this pregnancy.  So far I have felt worse than I felt with all 3 of my other pregnancies.  It isn't fair that you can only take Tylenol either, it doesn't do anything!!!  I read the common triggers for headaches, chocolate and cheese, these are what I have been living on! Sorry for complaining, I know it is temporary, but it makes daily life difficult.  Did anyone else have this problem when they were expecting?

Drew Brees Jr.?

Maybe we will have a football player in the family?  I'm not talking about Thomas either, sorry honey you had your time on the team! ;-)  Henry watched the entire Saints' game on Sunday with Thomas on the couch, asked multiple questions and even played a quick game during halftime, while Joseph was upstairs playing with Legos.  As he told me a month ago "I don't ever want to play sports again (in reference to baseball) I just want to be an engineer and build with Legos!!"
I can accept that, as long as one of these boys is an athlete!

My Favorite Season

Awww, my favorite season is finally here.  Fall....it always seems too short....well the kind of fall that I like.  I hate those hot summer days that push their way into my season and the cold winter weather that always comes too soon.  Brisk cool breezes, sunny days with the windows open, the  smell of the leaves that are falling these are a few of my favorite things.
Not only is nature busy doing her thing, but I love fall cooking and baking.  Last night for dinner we had beef and butternut squash stew, I made apple crisp on Saturday and apple pie the week before....YUM!  I have to admit, I do enjoy this time of year when I am pregnant because I eat and bake whatever I want and don't have any of the guilt.
Seeing the boys in their jeans and sweatshirts playing outside, wearing sweaters, contemplating starting that first fire and watching football with my man.....I am a happy lady during my favorite time of the year.
