Alabama Trip

We visited family over our Christmas break in Alabama.  We usually go in the summer or fall but decided to head down for the holidays this year.  It ended up not being the best decision.  Bad weather and sick kids almost ruined the vacation.  By the end almost everyone was back to normal but I don't think we'll be traveling in the winter anymore!

Rosie

After deliberating for a couple of years and doing a lot of research, we have a new dog!  The boys have been asking for a long time and last time we had to tell them no because they were getting a new baby brother instead.  They weren't too happy about that!  Here are some pictures of our new puppy Rosie.

Holiday Time

We've been busy baking cookies, decorating a gingerbread house and even playing in the snow!  This Christmas season has been wonderful.  After not having a house for a while, I am appreciating being settled so much more.

Family Pictures

We had our family pictures taken in October.  I wanted to do this last year but ran out of money at the end of the year.  We ended up with a horrid department store family picture that I reluctantly framed, but really hated.  Once we moved my priority was finally getting these done.  I have to say, despite the expense, they were worth it.  I love the pictures.  Our photographer was able to handle all of my boys and get them to smile!  The shoot was actually fun.

Trimming the Tree

I really can't believe that it is already time to decorate for Christmas!  We got our tree yesterday and bribed the boys into doing many things before we actually decorated it.  After the experiences we had at the tree store I think we will be chopping one down in the woods behind our house next year.

Joseph's 9th Birthday Party!

I cannot believe my first-born will be 9 in a couple days.  Today we had 10 boys in our house and it was crazy!  Happy Birthday Jo Jo!

I'm Back!

There are many reasons why I haven't blogged for 5 months and honestly the main reason is something that shouldn't even be an issue.  We got a new computer months ago and I am still not comfortable with the format for posting pictures and every time I sit down to post I stop because I'm not sure how to get the pictures up and don't want to take a lot of time to figure it out.
That, and the fact that we moved, lived in an apartment for the summer, moved into our house, started school after homeschooling for a couple years are just some of the reasons why I haven't posted in a really long time.
We love our new house and neighborhood.  The only drawback is that it is not super-close to school and church.  I am a little jealous of those moms who can walk to school with their kids!
We are so happy in our new city and already feel at home.  God has truly blessed us!
