Family Movie Night!

In recent months we started having family movie nights.  The boys absolutely love this, they think it is cool when they can stay up later than usual and eat treats.  Fortunately, they aren't really staying up late, we just start watching the movie early....shhh.  I have found that this is a great way to spend time with them, even if it is in front of the TV.  Snuggling on the couch with all of my boys, popcorn and a blanket is a perfect way to spend a Friday night.  If you haven't tried it, you should!  I hope it is something that we  continue as they get older.  Personally, I can't wait until we can watch The Fellowship of the Ring, instead of another cartoon, but I will take what I can get for now.

Saturday Morning

What a great Saturday morning!  Daddy made pancakes, we all played in the fresh snow and followed it all up with hot chocolate....yum.

Oh the weather outside is frightful!

It has been really, really cold here.  I usually don't mind the winter, until this year.  I think I am just picky about winter, if it isn't snowing I think the cold should go away.  It has been freezing here and we haven't had any significant snow.  I am stuck inside with the boys who are dying to go out and build a snowman.  I am left worrying about the electric bill, because who in their right mind would build a 3200 square foot house with electric heat?  Apparently, the builders of our house would!  Another issue this year is the lack of humidity, I just had to order another humidifier for upstairs because everyone is itchy and stuffy.  I am hopeful though, tomorrow we are supposed to get a storm and actual accumulation!  I counting on the weather people being right this time.  Mostly, I am waiting for spring...only three months to go!

Happy Anniversary!

Wow, I can't believe it has been 7 years!  I married the most wonderful man January 4, 2003.  He is humble, selfless, kind, intelligent and the best father.  Seven years, three kids, three houses in three cities...phew we've done a lot in such a short amount of time!  I love you Thomas!
